I’ve haven’t abandoned the blog

We’re still here. Morgan and Riley went with Sara’s parents and Jenn up to the holiday party in Mount Forest, so I had some time to myself.

Just kidding, I spent the weekend cleaning the basement. That was fun. And by fun, I mean hard work, and very dusty. I’d like to say that we’re not going to let it get that disorganized again, but I know me too well… ;)

More pictures (and I’ll finally fix the front page) soon, I promise. *

A Little Update

So, things are getting settled a bit. I’ve gone back to work, and Sara is home with both Morgan and Riley for now.

Morgan seems to be pretty happy to have a little sister, and she’s helping more than “helping” so far.

Everyone is healthy and happy. I’m hoping to get some time to work on the website and post more pictures, but, you know, new baby and all… :)

Riley is taking after Morgan so far… A quick comparison:

  • Morgan weighed 8lbs, 3.3oz; Riley weighed 8lbs, 5.4oz.
  • Morgan was 20.5in long, Riley was 20.25in.
  • Morgan’s head measured in the 95th percentile, Riley’s head is in the 90-95th percentile.
  • Morgan and Riley both got to spend some time in the Special Care Nursery for low blood sugar.

Riley did keep her blood sugar up pretty consistently once she got up there.  She got her three “good” results in a row right away (When Morgan was up there three years ago, she threw a loop in there and had a low reading on #3, so she got to stay up there for a few extra hours.).

Riley is back down in the regular nursery with Sara, and we’re hoping that they’ll both be home soon.  With luck, it will be tomorrow afternoon.  :)

Everything else seems to be going well.  Morgan wants to take Riley for a walk in the park. :D

Quick update:

Riley was born at 4:57PM last night. She weighed 8lbs, 5.4oz., was 20.25in long, and her head is 14in. around.

Mom and baby are doing farily well right now. More to come later. :)
